Thomas Turns One

Sometimes life gets in the way of things, like blogging. This has kind of been the case lately, but what can you do? Anyone who stays at home with their baby knows that this doesn’t leave much time for anything else, particularly when baby turns into a very active toddler. That’s right, friends. Our little Valentine turned one on Friday (February 14th). It’s hard to believe that a year has passed since Thomas made his way into our lives, but as they say, “The days may seem long, yet the years are short.” I’m hoping to collect a few thoughts and insights over the next few days for a mother-related post in the near future, but in the meantime, I just wanted to document a few photos from our weekend birthday festivities. We had the 1st birthday celebrations with all of our amazing friends here in Brisbane who have made the past year so special for us. Despite the humid 36˚C day, everything turned out perfectly for Thomas’s big #1!

  7. His party looked so cute! Our boys are exactly two weeks apart. My son, Brice, turned 1 on Feb 1st. We had a race car party but I also viewed it more as a ‘yay we survived one year!’ party. :)
