A Few Confessions…and a Surprise!
So, I have some confessions…
I came home from the grocery store last week with a giant bag of sour cream and chives chips. Twice.
I have been eating way too much chocolate.
And waaaaay too much bread.
’ve been napping every day.
I’ve barely been teaching Body Attack and even turned down a permanent teaching role at my gym.
I have my hate on for vegetables and have been struggling to eat salads.
I’ve gained 8 lbs.
I’ve been sick. Like...reeeeally sick.
Secret’s out. Someone is going to be a big brother this November!
As excited and thrilled as we are, I can’t deny the fact that the past few months have been really difficult. I’m happy that I’m able to write about it now, as I know some people think I’ve just completely lost interest in blogging. Totally not the case! I’ve just been feeling so ill and exhausted over the past little while that any free time I’ve had has been allocated to napping or simply existing aimlessly. Adam has also been extra busy with work and travelling, which has compounded the issue. So, this is why I haven’t been finding the time to blog as often as I would like.
I’m finally starting to feel a bit better. My doctor gave me some nausea tablets which I have been taking as required. I swore I wouldn’t use anything unnatural during my pregnancy, but it was getting to the point where I couldn’t even function some days…which clearly isn’t an option when you have a crazy 15 month old running around the house. I definitely believe that things are on the mend, and looking forward to some healthier and happier days ahead!
So, I do apologize for my lack of blogging since March and perhaps my intermittent writing over the next little while. I promise I’m not giving up on Femme Fitale. I love it, and you guys, too much for that! It’s just been hard to find much motivation for health and fitness writing topics when I have just been peddling around the elliptical for 30 minutes at a snail’s pace or stuffing my face with crappy food. Not good. I’m finally starting to WANT to eat vegetables again, and I’ve been finding exercise actually makes me feel better. So, things are looking up. I hope this also means a little less napping and a little more blogging in my spare time. I’ve been missing it, big time!
Regardless of the struggles I’ve been having, I must say that I’m incredibly excited for everything that is happening and all that lies ahead for our family this year. There will only be a 21 month age gap between the Bubs and his little brother or sister (I’m pretty sure it’ll be a brother). It will certainly be a bit crazy with the two of them in diapers, but that’s okay. I’m in this whole baby-phase of my life anyway, so why not? I believe that one of the greatest things you can do for your child is to give them a sibling, and I’m truly looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds. We couldn’t be happier.
Thanks to everyone for your amazing support! I cant wait to share my progress and journey with you
