October Favourites

It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Monthly Faves post, but it seemed like a nice and concise way to recap October: our last month as a family of 3! November is going to be a crazy one over here, so I’ve tried to enjoy October to its fullest, in particular the amazing weather we’ve been having as of late. It’s definitely my favourite time of year in Queensland. read more

Foto Recap: Weekend In Byron Bay

We enjoyed a lovely Labour Day long weekend over the past few days here in Australia. Adam and I decided it would be nice to get away for a couple of nights before our parenting duties double. In our 2+ years here in Brisbane, we’ve seen a fair bit of the Sunshine and Gold coasts, but one place we hadn’t spent any time was Byron Bay. A town renown for its beaches, backpackers and bohemian style, we had a great couple of days roaming around this little beachside gem. Our last mini getaway as a family of three! read more

The Problem With #Goals

For me, there is one in particular that has stood out as of late. read more

What I Ate Wednesday: The Melbourne Edition

Today we were back to our regular routine after 3 great days in Melbourne! It was pretty cold, and probably not the greatest time of year to visit what is oftentimes referred to as ‘the world’s most liveable city’, but with me being gone to Canada for 5.5 weeks in July and August, and our new little one on the way in November, we figured we might not get a chance to check off this Aussie bucket list city for some time. Plus, we thought it would be fun to get away to celebrate this old girl hitting her big 3-0. read more

What My Twenties Taught Me

This is it! My last weekend as a 20-something woman. In some ways, it feels like this decade has come and gone in the blink of an eye. I remember my 20th birthday like it was yesterday. Actually, no…who am I kidding? That’s totally a lie. I actually have very foggy recollections of that particular celebration, but I suppose that’s simply indicative of all the fun we had on June 30th, ’04! 😉 read more

A Few Confessions…and a Surprise!

So, I have some confessions…

I came home from the grocery store last week with a giant bag of sour cream and chives chips. Twice.

I have been eating way too much chocolate.

’ve been napping every day.

I’ve barely been teaching Body Attack and even turned down a permanent teaching role at my gym. read more
