Eyelashes not only add beauty to eyes but also protect and prevent eyes external factors to get in contact with it. Mascara is one of the most favorite makeup product every woman loves. Eyes are the window of the soul muse a Poet. With the excess use of Makeup and environmental factors like Pollution and season changes, Eyelashes tends to get drier day by day. Eyelashes’ thinning is also noticed with aging but a proper care can combat dryness and help in eyelashes growth naturally.
We do everything to pamper our skin and hair but often ignore the hands which do a lot of work and speak about your general health. Hands are on display as much as the face needs special care and attention. Hands say a lot about a person and research has shown that 80% of people look at hands when meeting someone new. So, taking proper care of our hands is equally important to maintain a complete healthy look.
It’s been a little while since I’ve done a Monthly Faves post, but it seemed like a nice and concise way to recap October: our last month as a family of 3! November is going to be a crazy one over here, so I’ve tried to enjoy October to its fullest, in particular the amazing weather we’ve been having as of late. It’s definitely my favourite time of year in Queensland.
We enjoyed a lovely Labour Day long weekend over the past few days here in Australia. Adam and I decided it would be nice to get away for a couple of nights before our parenting duties double. In our 2+ years here in Brisbane, we’ve seen a fair bit of the Sunshine and Gold coasts, but one place we hadn’t spent any time was Byron Bay. A town renown for its beaches, backpackers and bohemian style, we had a great couple of days roaming around this little beachside gem. Our last mini getaway as a family of three!
Social media is a powerful tool. It keeps us entertained, enlightened, and informed. It gives us the ability to stay connected and let our voices be heard. It can even allow us to generate inspiration and “dream big”. Yet, despite the positives, there are elements that continue to present problems. For me, there is one in particular that has stood out as of late.
Today we were back to our regular routine after 3 great days in Melbourne! It was pretty cold, and probably not the greatest time of year to visit what is oftentimes referred to as ‘the world’s most liveable city’, but with me being gone to Canada for 5.5 weeks in July and August, and our new little one on the way in November, we figured we might not get a chance to check off this Aussie bucket list city for some time. Plus, we thought it would be fun to get away to celebrate this old girl hitting her big 3-0.
This is it! My last weekend as a 20-something woman. In some ways, it feels like this decade has come and gone in the blink of an eye. I remember my 20th birthday like it was yesterday. Actually, no…who am I kidding? That’s totally a lie. I actually have very foggy recollections of that particular celebration, but I suppose that’s simply indicative of all the fun we had on June 30th, ’04! 😉
We had some amazing and inspiring responses to our contest question:
Who or what motivates YOU to stay active, eat well, and make healthy choices?
And the winner is…
Lizzie S! Congratulations! Hopefully some new Lululemon gear and your Fitness First passes will help you further achieve your goals in 2014.
Best of luck to you all in your health and fitness endeavours for the second half of 2014. Also, a very special thanks to Fitness First for their #changeforthebest campaign and partnership over that past 6 months. They are a company who isn’t afraid of making big changes to ensure health & fitness continue to stay fresh and fun for their members…definitely a great role model for us all.
June June Juuuuune! Despite the fact that you officially bring forth the Australian winter, I’m still happy you are in full swing. Lots to look forward to this month; I’m currently enjoying the last few weeks of my 20-something life.
Please don’t stick a fork in me yet, though. In celebration of one of my favourite months of the year, a recent two year blogging milestone here at Femme Fitale, and embracing all the changes that lie ahead for my family this year, I’ve teamed up yet again with my amazing friends at Fitness First for an exciting giveaway! Once again, I apologize to my wonderful international readers…this one is for the Aussies.
So, I have some confessions…
I came home from the grocery store last week with a giant bag of sour cream and chives chips. Twice.
I have been eating way too much chocolate.
And waaaaay too much bread.
’ve been napping every day.
I’ve barely been teaching Body Attack and even turned down a permanent teaching role at my gym.
